Panaramic photos
Mr Cruz, your photos have brought tears of longing and rememberance to my eyes. My father and I were both avid outdoorsmen, mainly in the central Florida area, hunting and fishing along the Kissimmee river and in the swamps and Management Areas. I'm afraid I have become a "city boy" over the years after my father's passing and don't get back to see nature as I used to. Your photos brought me back to those early mornings with him, listening to the stillness of sunrise and waiting for quail coveys to start whistling themselves up. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us. Warmest regards, Paul T. Garrett

Comments on the swamps
I, too, am a photographer who loves the swamps of Louisiana, mainly Honey Island Swamp. One day, I'd love to go to the Everglades. I maneuver through the swamps in my ol' trusty canoe. When I'm out there, I feel a Oneness with nature, like no harm is going to come to me. Most of the time, I go alone, going deep into the wilderness whereby I can truly get the fullness and more, for there is so much to see and experience. Needless to say, I always have my Nikon F2 with me. Photos don't really do justice to capturing the essence of the swamps, but that's the best we can do in our efforts to share with those who may never get the chance to go and see for themselves. Do keep up the great work. Perhaps, one day, our spirits may meet. Oh, I heard about you from watching the documentary entitled, "Big Cypress Swamps: The Western Everglades."

2009 Swamp Walk
I enjoyed every moment of the walk. The beauty and serenity that exists there is worth the effort to capture and share with others to inspire us all to work to protect what can so easily be lost. I took many pictures which will help me structure better images during my next visit. I found great difficulty escaping the harsh light conditions of mid-day with no cloud cover to allow me to catch the best images I was seeking. I used a Canon G10 with a Canon underwater case. The case worked amazingly well and I highly recommend it to G10 users who just want to protect their camera in wet conditions. I don
